Geoff has held various senior university leadership roles both in the UK and Australia. In recognition of Geoff’s learning and teaching achievements, he is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA). Geoff’s teaching has also been recognised as excellent in QAA reviews and by Australian national awards (Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) Australian Awards for University Teaching; Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning).

Geoff’s specific area of scholarship is the psychology of sport, exercise, health, and well-being. Geoff has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, has considerable experience in successfully supervising research students, and has had success in external grant applications.
